Adam Salky’s 2021 Netflix film, INTRUSION, was the number one streaming movie worldwide the week of its release, with over 42 million hours of viewership. His second feature film, I SMILE BACK, a Grand Jury Prize Nominee of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, features Sarah Silverman’s critically acclaimed, award-winning dramatic performance. It was nominated for a 2016 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.
Salky’s first feature, DARE (based on the viral 2005 short with over 15 million views) was a Grand Jury Prize Nominee of the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and his other films have premiered in competition at Sundance, Toronto and Deauville. Salky is an alum of the Warner Brothers Television Directors’ Workshop and has directed multiple episodes of NBC’s BLINDSPOT, including the season three mid-season return “Hot Burning Flames,” their highest-budget episode.
Salky has served as an advisor at Sundance Labs, guest-lectured on directing at Columbia University and various high schools, and taught directing at USC Graduate School of Cinematic Arts. He graduated magna cum laude from Emory University and completed his MFA at the Columbia University Graduate School of the Arts Film Division.
Adam is a citizen of both the United States and Poland but currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters. He is represented by Circle Management + Production.
